Like fifteen years ago Akinator had the correct answer after two questions and I'm still impressed. "Is your character an athlete?" Yes. "Is your character bad?" Yes. "You are thinking of OJ Simpson." Just astonishing precision.
It didn't get Zhou Enlai. Feel like Akinator used to be better. Did they add "AI" to it? Or did too many anime characters get added to its database?
Rather it added too many youtubers, half of questions are like "are you character from PewDiePie" or "does you character do (obscure internet thing that was popular for 5 weeks in 2017)", and it seems to forget older answers like "is your character fictional" which would cut tons of answers.
Is it even AI though? It has to be a
curatedcrowdsourced database of characters with their qualities listed, right?Isn't it a huuuuuuge binary search tree or something?
"AI" has been around since 2007 lol, it's just now it refers to LLMs (sometimes). Used to just refer to algorithms.
I just checked, it didn't guessed Felix Dzerzhinsky, undoubtedly because the huge amount of propaganda making questions like "Are you character bad" steering it away. Though i must admit that shortly after that question it presented Molotov and Kalinin so it could be worse, like the first result proposed was emperor Franz Joseph lol.
Wrong; absolutely failed in guessing Láeg, the charioteer of Irish hero Cú Chulainn. Couldn't even get Diomedes from The Iliad. Really needs to brush up on its epic poetry knowledge.
