You're the dummy here my friend, in reality they used an ICBM, which stands for Intra Continental Ballistic Missile, as opposed to a regular ICBM

they weren't ICBMS, they were their new medium ranged hyper sonic nuclear capable (obviously they weren't armed) missiles. It was obviously a warning to the West, because they travel so fast with multiple war heads that they are impossible to intercept.

I heard they were actually nuclear armed but then Ukraine raised its force field just in time and everyone was fine.

It was like in the avengers when the wakandites put up their magic shield against thanos.

Obviously ukraine is good and russia is thanos, so it makes sense that would happen!

This reminds me of a reddit thread I saw where some guy thought the US military would have done a better job than Wakanda against Thanos in infinity war, because the Wakandans resorted to (high tech) melee. Disregarding the fact the Wakandans only survived to get to melee range because their shield protected from orbital bombardment.

He's not entirely wrong, but only because Wakanda is hamstrung by being written by Hollywood writers who react to basic military tactic knowledge the same way a Puritan from 1600 would react to women not buried under 37 full-body layers of clothing at all times.

I don't know if any earth military could deal with the high orbital bombardment Thanos deployed in End Game.

And presumably his ship has shield against missiles.

I was more referring to the "endless horde of mindless attack dogs vs high-tech phalanx wall" bit being heavily in a traditional military's favor on account of having 'ranged weaponry' and other such forms of cheating per the rules of glorious melee combat.

The ship is going to curbstomp quite a lot, though I imagine if you start indiscriminately tossing nukes at it you'd get through eventually.

I read in the news long ago that they were running out of missiles. I guess they're working with what they have left.

The video is as ominous as the ballistic missiles we saw come down on Israel. I hope everybody gets it out of their system soon.

Because Ukraine projects a sort of dimensional mesh of propaganda from it at all times, as does the US, and it simply takes a missile of that caliber to penetrate through that ambient airspace membrane. Also why the war has been bogged down so hard — you try walking through something like that. It’s like invisible, mucky quicksand

Goddamn dude this looks like some scifi shit, that synchronized, evenly-timed burst of projectiles coming from the sky is chilling... that's the kind of shit you see in military scifi or something

I don't think I've ever seen missles displace the fucking sky to this extent. The kinetic force alone would be ridiculous.

jesus christ this legitimately looks like something straight out of Warhammer 40K, some kind of orbital bombardment

to me this is the old definition of awesome, causing awe... can you imagine being there and seeing something like this? that's the definition of shock and awe, I can't even imagine how demoralizing it must be to see your enemy using this kind of munition

if you call a strategic Meteorshower "conventional" .. the ICBM didn not have nukes in it , but it kinda was a nuke anyway .. because at the moment of launch and flight ,all early warning systems musst have detected a ICBM strike , and Sirens must have blarred in various dark Nato caves .. Putin has state in a Puplic adress that he will nowDIRECTLY strike the Countries programming the weapons (US /UK /France) as he considers this an act of war .

You should 100% be scared ...

    If true, show of power

They have ICBMs and Ukraine still only has those long range cruise missiles
