    why the fuck are they picking sides, and not only picking sides, but enthusiastically so?

    I wonder how much of it is their desperately not wanting to acknowledge how bad the situation we are in is.

    The fight towards understanding is marching towards the realization that no one coming to save us. The effort of reflection, understanding... so much work to be done internally, all towards understanding something one might be happier if one didn't. I'm just guessing as i definitely get the subconcious resistance against acceptance of this harsh truth, it capital f Fucked me up inside for sure.

      could be, i get what you mean. it is a lot more comforting to think all you have to do is get more people to vote and that'll solve all our problems i guess, the realization that we're so much more fucked beyond that is something that is really scary to come to terms with and it's definitely taxing on your mental health
