tl;dr The pods of orcas attack young whale sharks because they are a lot smaller. The pod ram into the shark, flip it upside-down so the shark goes into a state of tonic immobility, and then they attack its abdomen.

    "Flip em and go for the liver" is kind of the only tactic pods that hunt large animals have.

    Which, like, yes, that is the perfect hunting tactic... i guess I don't have a point.
