That kid with gynaecomastia needs to be denied the opportunity for surgical interventions because they should grow up knowing immense suffering and humiliation because, apparently, that's what you do when your primary concern is the wellbeing of children.
If they can, they'll carve out exemptions for cis people and their preferred child mutilation. Cis people will not be effected unless they have to be.
They're probably just waiting for their big Ryan White moment to present itself, you're right, but at the moment it appears that everyone is being thrown under the legislative bus wholesale.
On the other hand, trans people and disabled people are sorta the canaries in the coalmine for these regressive values and policies but it never stops with the first marginalised group to be targeted because it inevitably expands to the next one and then the one following that; when bathroom hysteria started entering the mainstream there were more than a few prominent examples of butch lesbians and cis women who didn't fit the mold of societal standards for femininity being harassed and thrown out of bathrooms, including by the pigs. I imagine those incidents would only be trending upwards nowadays. Seems like the lack of any general outrage at these incidents which, ironically, make bathrooms far more unsafe than the supposed "safety risks" they are trying to prevent points to the fact that a lot of people are really comfortable with brutally strict gender policing and that leads me to think that trans people are the first in line but there's a whole queue of other groups that are going to be next.
I don't know enough to feel certain about all this but either way it's still completely fucked.

I'm not able to get on my computer or I'd be able to look up information, sorry. I thought most legislation was just targeting trans people, where possible? Like puberty blockers, for the purpose of transition. Right now This Tennessee law is in the Supreme Court. This only targets trans people. There are many similar laws in other states. Now, if they can't just target trans people, they might just ban puberty blockers wholesale, but that isn't what they're trying to do.

But that wasn't from the legislative bus, there's no laws preventing butch women from using the bathroom. It's only trans people targeted by those laws, even if cis people got accidentally punished.
