I'm too tired to participate in these now but the white people on Hexbear seriously need to interrogate what it means to make sacrifices to support marginalized people in their communities
i.e even small sacrifices like giving up a parasocial relationship with some guy that believes in the great replacement
If they can't be relied upon to do this how are they going to act when allies are needed to make greater sacrifices?

When I posted in the mod announcement thread I made sure to make it clear that I just wanted people to be smarter about how they are approaching this whole situation and not to make it about celebrating this guy until we know that he doesn't still hold these racist/xenophobic views. It still got someone agitated enough to have a whole debate about it.
I should have known better because as soon as I started seeing people talking about how "beautiful" it was to see the left and right come together it should have indicated just how much shit they were willing to accept even if it meant waving off the concerns of the empoc userbase here (and possibly IRL too, with how some people were talking in that thread, which is what matters most)
That's my exact sentiment as well, it shouldn't be difficult. If he doesn't do this then the propaganda in his propaganda of the deed is obviously fascist.
On the debater, if a marginalized person has to beat an "ally" in an argument to get them to listen, that person is not being an ally. Marginalized people should not have to defend themselves against allies.
And from a site that rightly looks up to Leslie Feinberg these people are not practicing any of the humility that Feinberg had when working with any marginalized people.
This entire week is just vindicating that one org that caused a string of white tantrums on Hexbear over the org waitlisting white people from formally joining the org (i.e receiving full privileges and decision making power) until more POC were recruited to maintain the leadership of the most marginalized.

Like even if I wasn't a hardline Black nationalist at this point, I'd still only want to organize with all Black or all-POC organizations seeing that because is this how the crackers are going to act when someone actually thinks about making their org's demographics at least TRY to mirror the real world? These are the people that want me to earnestly believe they could be my comrades; but then they're going to throw the MOTHER of all toddlerfits when they don't get to wrest power from Black and brown folk by horde-filling a formerly-diverse org.
