The second literally anyone officially declares war on America, someone will coincidentally drunk drive into one of the key power stations and cripple the grid for months, causing panic and communication breakdown between the various branches of military, police, secret military and secret police who all start shooting down anything in the sky with stinger missiles

Still not convinced all the "drone" sightings all of a sudden isn't Covid related brain damage. I know two folks in my life who are adamant they've seen something and frankly, 'ambiguous bright lights that move out of sight real fast when I focused on it' sounds like the sort of thing people experience when they've had a concussion.

        Also probably wouldn't hurt.

        Show

Friends I'm talking about are nowhere near Jersey, very offline, and one of them was talking about it before it was even a thing.

The last time there were a lot of UFO spottings was during the Cold War, when it was likely actually the US testing spy planes or other flying machines. Given that they're desperately trying to start Cold War II, that could be it.

Could be starlink or some other satellite. They’re bright, quick, and can just kinda disappear in the sky.

Are they Boeings? Shoot 'em down somewhere safe before they fall down anyway

What? Nobody thinks airplanes are drones. They’ve been active near airports so of course amateurs videotaping trying to catch them are gonna record some planes too.

Yeah the problem is there's been real sightings of shit but amateurs are going out and capturing regular aircraft and posting it thinking it's aliens.

I'm like 95% sure it's a real phenomenon right now around NJ and not just mass panic. I can't say how true it is that the government has no idea what they are or where they come from but there's almost certainly something strange going on.

FAA put up a 1 month flight restriction over picatinny arsenal about the same time these reports started. it specifically calls out unmanned ariel systems (UAS) but I'm not practiced in reading these so I can't really interpret. https://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_4_8833.html

No drone flying in the area, for security reasons. You can get a waiver if you're a commercial drone pilot with work in that zone. Its illegal, we'll shoot it down, shoot your dog, etc. Just keeping people from sending their drones up to take a look(/warning them that they'll be viewed as a security threat and dealt with the same way, don't waste your drone).

It's just the US gov testing military drones. What else could it possibly be.
