Except we can’t walk the rest of the way. To butcher the metaphor, we have no feet. And we individually don’t decide which bus to go on, we only decide where it goes. And the bus may get us closer, but in 4-8 years it will certainly go back the other way. So there’s no way to get what I want without attempting to make the bus go where I want. Practically, the only way to do this is to defeat the American duopoly. I don’t see how voting for the duopoly helps do that.
