It might be good to get a hexbear wiki going so instead of having the same discussion about why certain opportunists are terrible over and over again, we can just compile a page and add to it. I'm kind of against clamping down on it entirely though. Pointing out shit takes and lampooning dumbasses has always been a staple of this community and I don't see why anyone should be a special case. We drag Nathan Robinson, we drag Matt Yglesias, we drag Tim Pool, we drag all sorts of neoliberal, conservative, and fascist cretins. Hell, we even drag the namesakes of this community. This is one of the key factors as to why we get under so many people's skin. I hate to borrow a quote from Anonymous, but we act as a sort of hivemind that "does not forgive, and does not forget."

I'd argue, with "leftism" becoming destigmatized, it is even more important now than ever to combat opportunism and shit on people who want to do to the left what Liberals did to "progressivism." We shouldn't let online shit distract us from the material world, but at the same time, somebody has to crush revisionists and opportunists and we shouldn't assume anyone is going to go out of their way to do that for us. On the other hand, I agree, having 5 posts about the same spree of cringeposts on the front page is over the top.

I don't think a wiki would go ignored entirely. There are several communities on here that could benefit from it. !anarchism, !marxism, !books, !tactics, !technology. A lot of posters might never go there, and for a lot of subjects there are much better resources which already exist - but it would be nice to compile a knowledge base which is a little bit less ephemeral than threads which come and go in a day.

I agree with everything else though.
