I know that beanis became popular here because of the badposting comm, but did the badposting community invent beanis? There are a few comments from a long time ago mentioning beanis, but beanis posting seems to have started in badposting, and what I am more curious about is the emoji Was the emoji created by hexbear or somewhere else? Because I'm pretty sure I saw beanis out in the wild, on instagram, not too long ago. If I remember correctly, it was a screenshot of a twitter post that had something to do with beans and the avatar was literally :beanis: and I can't figure out where this originated from.
Lmao, I found it doing a duck duck go search for "bean clipart"

Oops, looks like someone mentioned it.
Here's a direct link just to make things easier: https://pch.health.wa.gov.au/~/media/Files/Hospitals/PCH/General-documents/Patients-and-Families/Health-facts/Solitary-Kidney-Care.pdf
There's various clipart links with this image, so I am not sure which one is the original source, but here's one of them: https://clipart-library.com/clipart/330510.htm
I want to say the beanis emoji is actually originally a kidney from some medical poster or something like that
I think it’s from some clipart library, became a thing here this year iirc but I found this thing that has a copyright from last year https://hexbear.net/post/3666539?scrollToComments=false
Thank you so much for answering, this explains everything. Also I found the twitter account that had :beanis: on it, apparently it's from like 2018 or so. https://nitter.poast.org/goodbeanjokes
Beanis is the term for winter caps cuz they look like the tip of dicks
