No offense mate but try thinking a bit further next time yourself. A skill gap doesn't necessarily equate to difference in power - I'm a better amateur mechanic than my husband and he is a better cook, but relationships don't have unequal. Similarly I've had a number of good teachers who are good precisely because they treat their students as equals, more or less.
