Twitter is already full of responses from shitlibs like "And the left accuses Biden of being a secret Republican" and "honestly, I am happy that Biden is taking a stand on the Supreme Court". Like WTF? It is a bipartisan commission, the opposite of "taking a stand".

It's just like when Obama started choosing Republicans and putting them in control of things during his administration all in the name of "bipartisanship". Obama appointed Ajit Pai to the FCC who waited on him to be out of office and then quickly moved to gut net neutrality.

Biden is going to repeat that. Appoint Republicans as acts of bipartisanship, then sit back and do nothing when they flip the tables and start making demands. Come 2022, the GOP will sweep mid terms and then the excuse will be "Biden can't do anything! He can't cause Republicans control the Senate and House!" which is exactly what liberals yelled at us from 2010 onward when we said Obama was too cowardly to ram policy.

I don't think Dems really want to use power whatsoever. This will be their excuse. The first thing they're going to do under Biden is refuse to push anything and insist that they can't until they push more taxes. Then they'll turn around and blame Republicans when they're the ones that reach out to them and put them in power. 2022 is going to get real ugly.
