Threatened with murder etc

People have yelled homophobic slurs at me when I'm working outside or stop in front of my house and lay on their horns from time to time. It's bc I'm the only house in town with an LGBT flag

I'm pretty sure it's only the same couple of guys, more of a sad curiosity than anything. Particularly amusing bc I am cishet shrug-outta-hecks

I do think that if these psychos went full Krystal Nacht out here I would be unsafe tho which isn't great. Have considered strapping up on multiple occasions but I have kids and I'm more of a danger to myself than those strangers will ever be

It's not all bad though I get some support honks too and one time a liberal even sent me a thank you card lol

I lived in Arkansas for awhile and had my lgbtq flag pulled down from the front of my apartment multiple times.

I had a reactionary tell me he was 1/8th native American (which he could be telling the truth alot of white folks in the ozarks do have a smigeon of native ancestry) so he's not racist, he just can't get with the "removed shit" apparently

Sure guy, you're not convincing me you don't drop the nword behind closed doors with your buddies

In rehab one of the guys threatened to kill me because I told him to stop misgendering people as a joke. The staff did nothing about it and I had to talk him down myself :yea:

i was assaulted by a fascist last year. a few months ago i was walking down the main street in my city and there was a fascist (anti-immigration) march on. i lost the head seeing everyone just watch them go by as if it's normal, started screaming at them and shit. a fascist on the outskirts started being transphobic to me so i spat at his feet and he punched me in the head lol. it was a completely pathetic punch so i was more or less fine. but put me in a really bad mood so i just turned around and went home instead of seeing a friend that day like I was meant to. i feel like i did the right thing but it was also a little reckless cause i was on my own. but they're definitely not sending their best anyway.

glad i could share. yeah, i was satisfied that i decided to do at least something, the lucky part was that i decided to just walk away instead of fighting back which would have been really foolish. the guy alone was no threat to me but i could have gotten jumped by the surrounding fascists if i escalated. the thing i couldn't bear was seeing all the regular folks just standing by and watching, that really disgusted me and made me see red.

I got jumped by some chuds at a bar back in college

Lost a couple of teeth, but I'm pretty sure I sent two of them to the ER

Still have a lot of problems related to that moment, but it's also why I started packing heat

Because if there is a next time, someone's going to hell and it ain't gonna be me

Yeah I figured I'd run into a lot of people who would at least try and fight back on this forum in particular.

      Glad you are okay

Yeah, I've been harassed quite a bit back when I lived in one of the methiest places in the country. I had to defend myself once when I found out my mom had given me an empty can of pepper spray. Threw the can in his face to disorient him and just started pulling on his balls as hard as I possibly could.

Um I got my ass beat by a guy in full trad skinhead getup at a bar once but that was more of an act of self harm than anything else.

Honestly he probably wasn't even racist lol I was messy drunk at the time. Shouts out to the bouncers getting me out of there relatively intact.

Edit: oh, followed and taunted by two or three Irish tourist fucks at one point but that was, while intimidating, ultimately nothing. I wish I'd swung on them in retrospect I don't stand down shit anymore.

Is someone doing homophobic/transphobic harassment automatically a reactionary? Cause usually if I'm being harassed or attacked it's because someone thought I looked at them wrong/they thought I said something to them/they are on drugs/dealing with a mental health crisis, which then becomes transphobic harassment once they notice that I'm trans.

But I always chalked it up more to our fucked up homelessness and healthcare situation than transphobia itself, idk.

I don't ride the light rail alone anymore.

I would say 95% of the time they are, these days especially. I also don't blame you

Not yet, but I eagerly await the day I am. I crave negative attention, and I crave the prospect of physical injury.

One of the Fascists in town who sits on our town council got together with his cronies to harass my wife for calling out their fascist behavior on the timeline. Tried to get her fired from her job, called basically every day for almost a month. We called the cops and nothing really came of it. I think they got bored once they couldn't get her fired.

Oh, it was the stupidest of shit like, trying to make it mandatory to do the pledge at meetings, and she would comment about how dumb it was. He would post about it on Facebook on the town page about how "Un-American" the council was (including other Republicans) The council member and his comrades are those kinds of 1st amendment auditors who also bog down a local municipality with FOIA requests. These dudes showed up to our town hall and put in like 10 requests each and filmed the whole time.
