What's say his charges were abuse of minors or something equally egregious, is there ever a justification for torture?

is there ever a justification for torture?

If torture actually worked as an interrogation method, there would be a few slim cases where I'd say it would be morally acceptable to torture someone for information. But since it doesn't (turns out that a victim of torture will say literally anything to make it stop, regardless of whether it's true) no. Definitely not.

    no.

there are mitigating circumstances that might incline one to not throw the book at someone for torturing someone else, like abuse of a minor, but that is not justification

    torture is always wrong.

from the comments in reddit, this man was 19 and he died shortly thereafter due to heart complications. his autopsy was withheld from the family for a year by the coroner's office.

This is the basis for MKULTRA Like I bet with enough drugs and torture devices, you could induce psychosis.
