I don't think they'd be a threat in any way if the Dems know they can't win.
The only threat they'll understand is loss of power. Which is why it's so fucking abominably stupid for people to declare that they're voting for whichever turd the Dems squeeze out no matter what, and scold others for not agreeing to that, even 18 months in advance.
Greens don't have to win, just consistently pull like 3%, Dems start losing close elections that they would have won if the greens didn't pull votes. Also greens could absolutely be competitive in California jungle primary
We need to flood cities and state governments with Greens. I'm sorry other left wing parties, but we have to hit 5% so they can change the rules again once it's hit.
