"age: in my prime" lol that's a nice way of saying either 50 or 15
Man this shit makes me tear up sometimes
My dad used to be into all of this. All down to the corny under construction signs and cool zone music.
He made a website about our big family of seven all with our own pages. I remember him asking us what our favorite things were so he can find images of stuff like elephants and cars to put on our pages.
Sucks that my dad is such a hateful shit head these days. Makes me wonder where it all went wrong.
OMG my dad literally did the same thing for our family. He even recorded me saying "Bienvenidos a mi pagina!/ Welcome to my page!" so it'd play every time we click on it.
Such a great memory and nostalgia hit
I used to be into elephants like crazy when I was little so he went out of his way to find the absolute coolest ones on the web. I think at one point he even scanned a picture of a baby elephant from an encyclopedia.
Don't think he ever did a sound byte for our pages but he definitely had some Duke Nukem 3d one for his lmao
There are a few people there that I should get drugs from and some I definitely shouldn't, but would anyway.
These days are so long gone and I'm afraid we'll never have something like this again.
After the revolution we'll bring it back as a honeypot to capture the biggest brains and use them to create FALGSC
you just have to create it yourself.
neocities.org also exists.I was the most the most 3lite haxxor in the world when I found out how to turn off the modem speaker so I could jack off without my parents knowing.
im just a bit too young to have experienced this at the time. cool stuff!
i used to have a website about cloning (it was kinda of a big topic), full of animated sheep gifs lol
best thing about it is that at first i named it "all about cloning", which sounds good enough, but then realized it couldn't actually have everything about cloning, so i renamed it to "a lot about cloning"
way worse but much more honest :xi-clap:
I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM, it was like a podcast on the radio, and google about some of the topics so I spent a lot of time on geocities.
Found the millennial. I used to be really good at breaking computers in the 90s and aughts. I wish I turned it into a job.
Every time I update the CSS in /r/fortbadgerton to be worse, I become depressed because no matter how bad it looks I'll never be as bad as any geocities page.
