Those robes look way more comfy than what marx was usually wearing. I'm sure he'd be okay with it.
They're a relic of the 19th century, they should have died out like 80 years ago.
If I remember correctly, this video was about discussing philosophical influenced that created "socialism with Chinese characteristics". The tang dynasty robes being indicative of earlier Chinese philosophy interacting with Marxism to create the current ideological positions in China.
