spotting potholes
yeah because the real problem was finding them, there's not already a list of hundreds waiting for repair
Yeah, but if an AI spots them it won't find any and the problem is solved
Those literacy rates need to in the single digits. Cant have serfs who can read.
You jest, but please for the love of god if you are anything less than certain you will never have children in your lifetime, stockpile physical media and burn things on CDs.
: “From being a dirty worker, of course! Now they can go to trade school and start their OWN plumbing business!”
I'm imagining a LLM grading papers and rejecting them like applications for missing the right keywords.
lmao yeah let's invest all the money we have in a technology that's famous for being a money bonfire with lackluster results, surely that is the key to a great future
Money for burning electricity to make white girls around immigrants
money for fuel subsidy so your nan won't freeze
Blair's Labour government burnt billions on centralising computer systems by farming out the bids to dodgy firms (with a good bit of corruption thrown in too).
This is going to make that look like an exercise in public fiscal responsibility, handing over billions, and billions more in ongoing contracts, just before the bottom falls out of the AI grift and little to nothing is delivered.
Wrong on one count: all that personal data held by the government will be delivered to those private contractors with a little ribbon around it, useful to them regardless of what happens to the infrastructure.
Oh I have no doubt about which (and the only) way the data and money will flow.
“You see in free market you always have a choice….now you’re going to be forced to use AI and YOU’RE GONNA LIKE IT!”
I really wonder how many bad decisions could have been avoided if their makers took a second to think about them in the light of the exact metaphor they used to describe it.
This is definitely to make peoples lives better and not a way to keep the financiers/tech shitheads on board with labor.
