    I think it’s more that they can end up equating normal adult relationships with sexual deviancy.

    I remember my grandma telling me how if they let the gays get married it will be men marrying children and animals next.

      This one makes a lot of sense to me. If your measure for whether or not a sex act is okay is whether or not God condemns it, then everything "God condemns" gets lumped together. Conservatives don't understand (or don't want to understand) that the left-wing standard for "is this sex act okay" is informed consent, so they assume that if you're okay with gay people, you also have to be okay with sexually abusing children and animals.

      On the rare occasions they do understand that standard, they rail against it, as in the case of soon-to-be-dead shitbag Rush Limbaugh:
