It's actually disgusting. Just non-stop coverage of people like Paris Hilton and Mel Gibson, the kinds of people rich enough that they'll easily recover from this. They're not going to be homeless, they're not going to lose their job, they're not going to starve. They lost what is akin to a middle class person losing their PC. Sure, it sucks and it will be expensive to replace, but they'll survive.

Meanwhile I've seen NOTHING in mainstream media about the people who are really suffering because of this. Only celebrities and businesses. Celebrities have the funds and support to recover, businesses are insured and owned by the wealthy. The majority of people are not so lucky.

It really shows who they consider human and who they consider nothing of note.

I saw a Hasan clip where he showed bits of him being on Joe Rogan (I know, why do I do this to myself). I knew he was a racist and antisemitic pos, but he is really off the deep end, speaking like some of the most deranged Maga types about ivermectin and shit, only with millions of dollars and relative stardom.

There has been some articles talking about the Eaton fire and Altadena, which is a PoC neighborhood next to Pasadena: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/l-wildfires-leave-diverse-historic-altadena-ashes-rubble-rcna187065

But you are correct, DirtOwl. The reporting has been mainly focusing on the (rich as hell) Palisades area. But I do worry about it because north of the Palisades fire are the working class areas of the San Fernando Valley. Once flames get into the Valley, it's game over.

Yeah, unfortunately altadena (or at least parts of it) was some of the cheaper areas to get a home in so there's definitely going to be a lot of people absolutely ruined by this.

Pretty sure these people own other houses too, like we found out with James Woods.

I saw another article about an actress saying she only had a pair of shoes to her name. And I'm like, 'what's in your bank account tho?'

They're not the people we should worry about in times like these
