If it's more #1, then I think that's probably straight-forward to deal with. The odds that your vote will make a difference is incredibly small. And even if it did, personally I feel quite strongly that there's no real difference in where we'll be in 2024 under Biden or Trump. However, I suspect it's more #2. I know that's what I would be feeling myself in your situation. And it just really sucks. Maybe after the election, you could explain to them that yes you voted for Biden but it's not what you wanted to do in your heart and the fact that they took away your agency in this is very hurtful? You definitely did nothing wrong, comrade.
