We are smack in the middle of autumn and I don't know about the rest of you, but for some reason this season more than others really has certain albums that just go with it. Here's some of mine just to start:
-
One Foot in the Grave - Beck
-
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco
-
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain - Pavement
-
The Moon and Antartica - Modest Mouse
-
Rain Dogs and The Bone Machine -Tom Waits
-
The Bends - Radioed
-
S/T - Marcy Playground
-
You Won't Get What You Want - Daughters
- Live At The Witch Trials - The Fall
- Grotesque (After The Gramme) - The Fall

- Perverted By Language - The Fall
- This Nation's Saving Grace - The Fall
- Country On The Click - The Fall
- Fall Heads Roll - The Fall

- Imperial Wax Solvent - The Fall
Oh, like autumn? :quokka-wink:
- S/T - Bon Iver
- The Crane Wife - Decemberists
- Ghost and Family Tree: The Roots - Radical Face
- 1989 - Taylor Swift
- 7 + Mary - Rainbow Kitten Surprise
- The Great Northern Hemisphere - Gregory Alan Isakov
- Uprooted - The Antlers
- Not Animal! - Margot and the Nuclear So-and-Sos
- Furr - Blitzen Trapper
duster is a real autumn/winter band for me, contemporary movement, stratosphere, 1975, and transmission flux, get a lot of play time during these months.
Meliora by Ghost is the reason for the season (at least for a few more days), but the cheesy black plague imagery on Prequelle is weirdly COVID-appropriate, regardless of the time of year.
Autumn is when I usually land on my stoner/doom collection.
- No Cross No Crown - Corrosion of Conformity
- Blood Eagle - Conan
- Rust - Monolord
- S/T - Windhand
- The Mouths of Madness - Orchid
- Dehumanizer and/or 13 - Black Sabbath
- Legend - Witchcraft
Loveless - My Bloody Valentine
A Day in the Stark Corner - Lycia
L'amour - Euternase
Rain Dogs - Tom Waits
Hilltop Blues - Bazooka Benny
Smell of Female - The Cramps
These are the albums I've had circulating recently. Some of them are season-specific and others have just been stuck in my brain for months.
Tre by The Dining Rooms: mostly because the first track is the perfect sit and watch leaves fall song, but the rest is solid too
