Sorry for another link to r*ddit but I've been trying to keep up with what's going on over there. This thread is about Switzerland not selling some tanks to Ukraine which have been rusting in an open parking lot and are of questionable operational status. The state-owned defense company agreed to sell the tanks, but the government blocked the sale. No reasons specified in the article (publisehd by a Euromaidan news outlet). For all we know, the Swiss blocked the sale to protect Ukrainian troops from unreliable machines that will break down on the battlefield. Just not a lot of info given. Doesn't stop the from throwing all kinds of accusations.

The reason is that switzerland has a law that disallows it to sell weapons to a country at war. Ironically the SP introduced that law and the SVP were against it back then and now the SP really want to send those tanks and the SVP oppose the move but yeah people mad for not being part of the rules based order or some shit.
