If it was Ukraine, would that put an end to Germany's ongoing support for the country with tank deliveries or potentially even fighter jets? And what about the Americans? If Washington provided assistance for the attack, might that spell the end of the 75-year trans-Atlantic partnership?
The answer to all of these is “Germany is a vassal state.”
The fact that if it was Russia or would mean war, and if it was America it means they might think about not being part of a UN working group with them says a lot.
Not disagreeing with you, but I wonder how that works with the US being a fellow Nato member
Doesn't matter because NATO members are US puppets. There's literally nothing they can do. Which is why they're being so secretive. Probably gonna use the fact that the US did it as leverage to try and get some sort of backchannel concession on trade.
But acknowledging that and trying to go after the US ends with them getting nothing at all and the US just going "yeah, so what". And them being labeled as Russian collaborators or something.
When your nation is so closely intertwined with the empire you have no choice but to allow them to use you as a footstool.
Remember when the NSA under Obama was caught spying on Merkels cellphone? Germans certainly don't.
only a handful of investigators at most have been assigned to work on the Nord Stream case on a full-time basis...the perception among investigators is that the will to solve the case is not particularly pronounced in the capital
Germany really is a puppet state. This is not the behavior of a sovereign nation.
