    The thing that gets me is that this isn’t just a failure for COVID; it’s a failure to get systems in place for what comes after COVID too.

          the bad avian flus have like a 25% death rate. If half of americans catch it that's 40 million dead. Of course that's not including the millions of additional deaths caused by the actual collapse of civilization
