                    My personal theory: there's been a big push recently of the "those poor troops are just joining for college/stability, they had no choice" narrative though popular media and the news, even though troops come from richer families than the average American. I think this is to try get the liberals and left leaning people to support the troops, as there was really a big hatred of them, even from libs, post Bush. We're seeing the results now.
