Excited to find the western chauvinists in this community.

Edit: Wow apparently the only people on chapo dot chat are whitees unaffected by and benefiting from their imperialism confidently declaring how the perpetrators are to be treated.
Y'all have some nerve

Edit 2:
ITT If you shoot a black kid in the back in downtown Baltimore I want nothing to do with you. If you perfarate an entire back family in Mogadischu or Baghdad that's ok, you did growth and spaces.

It's wild how we used to have that "braver than the troops" thing but now look at this thread, like fuck man

I just don't get how being critical of soldiers and vets is wrecker divisive liberal shit now. When did this heel turn happen?

But in the grand scheme of things pffhayvadhbppp and actually the Russians aqhbrcrcdkeosddg you can't allienate propagandized troops by kjuheejedewyvtvrvqjwpxf. In conclusion, disliking imperialist troops ➡️ no communism.

My personal theory: there's been a big push recently of the "those poor troops are just joining for college/stability, they had no choice" narrative though popular media and the news, even though troops come from richer families than the average American. I think this is to try get the liberals and left leaning people to support the troops, as there was really a big hatred of them, even from libs, post Bush. We're seeing the results now. Again I'm not American so I'm 99% likely to be wrong, and please discard this if I am

At this point, I don't even trust Americans with their ability to perceive themselves. It's just manufactured consent and invented reality all the way down. You'd expect that we of all people would be at least somewhat critical of this notion of a benevolent soldier/vet and where it came from but here we are.

This tweet got a laugh out of me too lol

Yeah... that is exactly the thing I was doing a parody of...
But also quoting LeninsRage comment above:

Something of a thesis I’ve been working on in my head lately is that the United States has replaced a traditional welfare state with its imperial military Keynesianism and the military-industrial complex.

From an individualist perspective it makes sense to join the army. But that does not change anything. Imperialism has always made sense from an individualist perspective.
