        Did the majority of Russians hate WW1 because it was a war of capitalists and international financial implications? Or did they hate it because their brothers and sons and neighbors were dying in a war that didn't effect them? It's okay to oppose something for the wrong reasons.

        Ok I'm not trying to make a point one way or the other but the hypothetical veteran in the tweet does hold their anti-military beliefs for "socialist anti-war sentiment." The OP explicitly called them a leftist.
