I think when push comes to shove though, Trump is the Commander in Chief™ and blind loyalty will lead to troops supporting him in that moment, especially if the election outcome appears close (whether or not it actually is). Especially if Democrats grow stones and actually try to force him out.
In the short term you're right. The military isn't going to act, not until after supreme court decision.
Even after that... It will be weeks/months of organisation and secret meetings for a military coup to actually occur on US soil... If they even decide to do it which is a big IF.
The near-term would be a defaulting to Trump being commander-in-chief and he'd be defended in his position as a result of supreme court backing.
