Is anyone else just disgusted at the way libs talk about the election as "so traumatic" or talk about how much they cried last time or how triggering it is? Like, if that's how you feel, don't fucking talk about it in public where your political enemies can see it. Don't let them see you crying like a coward. This seems like such basic stuff for people who claim to be resistance revolutionaries and they still don't have the emotional discipline for it

Part of me feels bad for getting mad at a bunch of crying weaklings though so maybe they're getting what they wanted

ETA: I do not in any way think of trauma/triggers as actual signs of weakness, just that watching an election is not a trauma

I didn't cry during it, but the few month period recently which saw: the Bolivian coup, Corbyn's loss in the UK election, and the Dem Primary (and I'm sure many other awful events) was pretty fucking bleak, and I wouldn't think less of any comrade who shed tears as their hopes for a better world were continually torn to shreds.

There's nothing wrong/weak/cowardly with crying after an event occurs that you think will doom millions of people to a worse life, the problem with Liberals is that instead of waking up the day after with vigor and a desire to fight back, they instead stay inside and do individualistic "self-care".

Yeah, I meant more the "in public" part, sorry. We all wouldn't be here on chapo if we didn't get super emotionally involved with politics. What bothers me about libs is the way they advertise it on social media rather than just feeling it and sharing with each other in real life. It becomes part of their messaging, almost, and there's a total lack of fire to balance out the water.

It's traumatic when one realizes that the whole system of our government is capable of producing horrid results even for the core and themselves. Now, most of these people should have had this trauma, if they were old enough, at least during the Bush presidency, but even so, it's our job to seize the opportunity and provide an alternative that appeals to their interests. This is the way toward a mass movement.

It's yet another word from psychology that has been hijacked by these absolute assholes to invalidate its actual meaning. Fucking Michelle Obama called the 2010 senate loss her personal trauma. Same goes for triggers, I can't say "trigger" without my mind immediately thinking about the bluecheck crybabies who were "triggered" by snake emojis.

And it's even more contemptible that they're talking this way when they seem to be winning. Have some goddamn pride. Democrats crying and shitting themselves as they drag themselves across the finish line
