  • “I think there is a connection between … the way we treat animals and the way we treat people who are at the bottom of the hierarchy.”

"Sentient beings … endure pain and torture as they are transformed into food for profit, food that generates disease in humans whose poverty compels them to rely on McDonald’s and KFC for nourishment."

"The fact that we can sit down and eat a piece of chicken without thinking about the horrendous conditions under which chickens are industrially bred is a sign of the dangers of capitalism, how capitalism has colonized our minds."

Notoriously privileged and counter-revolutionary preacher of Veganism; Angela Davis.

  • Tourism monies has little to do with why the monarchy persists, more people would visit Buckingham Palace and whatnot if they were unoccupied and completely accessible (look at Versailles).

I agree with Philosophy Tube's video on the topic in that the real reason why the monarchy still exists is because every Brit wants to fuck the Queen.

Biafra engaged in genocide against numerous ethnic minority groups within their territory. Largely because said minority groups either didn't want to be a part of an Igbo dominated ethnostate, or were simply not thought of as being as deserving of supplies as Igbo populations.

I'm not saying this to deny that atrocities were committed against the Igbo during the Nigerian Civil War, they were and the victims should be remembered. However, a lot of Western perceptions of the conflict are that of an evil (Muslim) Nigeria versus an innocent (Christian) Biafra, which is reductive and wrong.

If anyone's wondering why France and Britain were opponents here. It's because Biafra has a lot of the petroleum resources in Nigeria; so the Nigerian Civil War was partially a neocolonial proxy war between British and French oil interests.

  • Listening to his linked 40 minute long video rant because I hate myself.

    So far it's been like

I'm probably in the 95th percentile of Trans acceptance... BUT

Paraphrasing because Glenn talks like he's filibustering CW: Transphobia, Bi-Phobia

    21:05

The question I have is whether there are other causes [meaning causes aside from increased societal acceptance] explaining this huge explosion of people claiming to identify as Bi and Trans. I know for a fact there are other causes.

    22:10

Our society encourages you to be trans... our cultural, mental health professionals, educators, and certain sectors encourage this behavior

    24:10

Why would people think it's bigoted to want to know [what influences] are increasing the number of trans people

    26:30

Most Bi-people aren't real because a high percentage of them are in relationships with the opposite sex... we should interrogate whether a high percentage of people reporting to be bisexual are genuinely bisexual

    30:20

Now more people identify as Trans than Lesbian. This has had an extremely negative effect on Lesbian culture. Cites Katie Herzog

    31:40

THEY'RE MAKING THE LESBIANS AND TOMBOYS TRANS

    36:10

I 'question' at what age people are capable of deciding to be Trans... we have the duty to ask this

    37:10

We need more scientific research into whether Trans-people should be allowed into women's sports

    38:10

People shouldn't be allowed to claim a non-binary identity if they don't "look" like it

    End

Why do people cal me Transphobic when I support trans people so much. The real bigots are the mobs attacking me.

TrueAnon is good, but a lot of their research on topics seems to be reading a few sources that agree with their viewpoint, then uncritically repeating them on the show. The 9/11 episodes were a particularly large example of this, and it's been harder for me to take them as seriously since.

There's a very good chance that Bush/CIA knew about the attacks ahead of time, and did nothing to stop them. But a lot of the truther speculation Brace & Liz brought up (controlled demolition, Pentagon missile, building 7) is plain dumb.

A Russian hockey player for the New York Rangers who's just been accused of beating an 18 year old women back in 2011. He also supports Navalny and denounces Putin so he's a favourite of Russia-Gate Libs.

I think Keith's suggesting those allegations are part of a Kremlin troll campaign. It's mind-boggling, but it's also the narrative that Reddit, and most American MSM, are running with.

  • Wheres the grift? What is there to gain in converting from party loyalist Clinton-Lib (with all the opportunities that entails) to a left-critic of the Democratic Party establishment.

Peter is a very earnest guy and I wholly believe that his experience of seeing kids in cages, and then witnessing the Democratic Party utterly fail to seriously resist it, really did radicalize him.
