Eradicate outdoor cats by adopting them and turning them into indoor cats
scrolling through island nations or provinces trying to find the best one to start struggle sessions over
Falklands, already done... Hawaii, we all agree... Taiwan also... how about... uh... Corsica?
1200 hours of EU4 have prepared me for this moment.
Corsica obviously belongs to the Prusso-Mughal empire, and I'm backing it up with my total war CB.
Goddammit I thought I was gonna just scroll through Wikipedia to come up with some random bizarre historical claim about this peaceful little island, like saying we should re-establish Genoa and return it to them, but now you've got me actually going down a rabbit hole investigating the history of the FLNC.
I had no idea there was such a spicy group over there, or that there was even any conflict.
Give it to Niger as part of reparations. Aim some missiles at France and get Europe to stop fucking with Africa. Create the African Union and have some Soviet/Chinese-style turnaround.
Bold plan to give a landlocked country with no navy an overseas territory. At least consider Tunisia or Algeria first.
Exactly. They'll never see it coming. Keeps them on their toes.
Giving Long Island to Mali next.
Pray the deal isn't altered further.
it seems like it would be more helpful to give them agriculture equipment and money than an island they never had and probably don't even want full of people who don't think they're nigerien
Now Niger is getting Mayotte, Clipperton, Guiana, Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Caledonia, Réunion, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Saint Pierre and Miquelon and Wallis and Futuna. Keep pushing and they're getting more islands.
They've been a plague driving native birds here to extinction. Even controlling pollution doesn't remove the threat they pose. If thats what it takes, its what has to be done.
It's cruel to kill all the outdoor cats, you're depriving the coyotes of a valuable food source.
what if instead of exterminating the outdoor cats we rounded them all up and kept them indoors from then on
How big does a roof have to be for the outdoors to be classed as indoors?
I hope this doesn't cause a struggle session. But animals shouldn't be bred for profit or a posh hobby when heaps of homeless cats and dogs exist.
individuals adopting troubled animals isn't a good enough solution a lot of those animals have additional care requirements outside the capabilities of the average pet owner. What should be done is establish shelters with people actually trained to care for abused animals and make those shelters nice places.
You're misunderstanding me. When people buy pets, they support an industry that creates homeless animals and destroys the pets once they're no longer young and cute.
that's just a cat gulag
we need to respect the bird's agency in their own struggle and arm them against the cats
There's birds of prey that eat cats, but I think that'd be even worse for small bird populations.
Cats are really good at hiding from people when they want to.
I feel like we'd have to train some kind of GPS-collared judas cat or mountain lion that can smell if there's a cat in the area.
