The good thing about how poorly Biden has done with POC is that it will finally kill identity politics to an extent.

I am pretty sure if you break down Trump's Latino and black votes by income, that he is getting that push from middle and upper class POC.

Everything always comes back to the class war. Dems ran a candidate that was offering the poor and working class, absolutely nothing.

My dad (lives in El Paso) was born in Mexico and became a citizen in 1997. When I talked to him the other day, he said that he knew plenty of people voting for Trump because he sent them a stimulus check. But, if you listen to the libs on my FB feed, it's cause those mexican people are racist, sexist, homophobic, etc.

Honestly, there's a part of me that wonders how big Trump would have won if he'd just rammed through another check with his name on it.

Could have been way worse for Dems. Trump doing a Reagan '84 on the corpse of the party, without even the token opposition in the House to kettle the fascism.

It's not like Democratic turnout was low. Republican turnout was just way higher than Democrats believed possible.

Thank Allah that the Republican Party is almost as dumb as the Democratic party.

Dems pissing away a growing demographic they could have easily locked up for a generation with a humane immigration policy.

Incredibly based that the county is named after Zapata.

Zapata was named for José Antonio de Zapata (died 1839), the revolutionary commander who served in the cavalry of the Republic of the Rio Grande, of which the town was a part.

According to wikipedia he was a pro-federalist general (against Santa Anna) fighting for the República de Río Grande (cool flag), but nothing about fighting the Spanish. Also he hated the indigenous people.
