Neoliberals clearly view him as a fascist. I don't acutally think this is the case at all, and we are really just witnessing increaingly antagonistic contradictions unfold within the bourgeoisie. Regardless, Libs clearly view him this way, and we should take note.
To liberals we are identical to fascists and we will be treated in exactly the same way as he has been by the media, big tech, the liberal establishment etc.
Close, but liberals don't see us as the same. They see us as worse. Maybe not the rank-and-file libs but the power brokers absolutely do
My point still stands that they will use similar techniques to undermine us. I mean, take a look at Corbyn.
Let's be real here; Corbyn didn't do himself any favors either. Outside of the anti-semitism accusations, he was a weak party leader. He sat there and just let them attack his character constantly. He made no moves to reform Labour or do anything about the Blairites (who were constantly attacking him on a weekly basis) and when it came to specific issues and talk points like Brexit, he flip-flopped around on that to the point he lost a debate against Boris Johnson. The Brexit stuff especially came back to haunt him.
Corbyn made mistakes and you can rightly criticize him for poor leadership. I have no idea why western leftists, mostly Americans act like he was golden and made zero mistakes, and it was all the media's fault.
We still have a lot of work to do to build the left. The best way we can do it is by focusing on the working class and building around them, which is what Marxists should be doing anyway. Fuck liberals. The Democratic party is quickly becoming the rich, snobby college educated party. I don't know how people can't see this with libs and how they so condescendingly talk down to everyone in smug tones. This election has proven that the working class is walking away from the Democrats as that party has proven they don't want them. If we don't talk to them, someone else will... and that someone else is going to be the fascists coming out of the GOP.
Outside of the anti-semitism accusations, he was a weak party leader.
Doesn't do anything to change the fact that they would do the same thing to a strong party leader.
Corbyn made mistakes and you can rightly criticize him for poor leadership.
Please quote the part where I said you cannot criticize Corbyn? You can be a poor leader as a neoliberal and they will treat you like a king.
The best way we can do it is by focusing on the working class and building around them, which is what Marxists should be doing anyway.
Of course, but that will only make them go after us twice as hard, and call us anti-semite facist nazi scum of the earth.
Well, we are attacking liberal ideology. Power brokers are obviously more concerned about private property since they, you know, own it all, and that is our main critique of liberalism, so you have a point. I think the rank and file are going to be a bit more sympathetic to us and the elites will be more opposed. I think that's correct.
Trump is a liberal democrat
That's a hard truth to accept but it posits liberalism as our direct enemy and many on the left are squeamish to do that (preferring to think they're "fighting fascism" by voting for Biden because Biden isn't an open racist and bigoted piece of shit - though Rapey Joe is obviously racist and bigoted).
And Liberal Democrats, when push comes to shove, are neither liberal or democratic if it offends their view of the free market. Just look at the Liberal Democrat party in UK who ran on a platform of abolishing Brexit if they were voted in. Liberals have no problem with dictatorships if its in their class interest - just look at Reagan or Thatcher who supported many, many dictatorships worldwide or the amount of dictatorships liberals support today that cornerstones of their foreign policy
They sabotaged Donald Trumps presidency from the get go with the entire "Russia gate conspiracy theory". The latest CIA leaks reveal this if somehow you have brainworms and the Mueller report didn't

If a nominally a socialist or communist ever came to power democratically (which the US has never allowed: USA went to war in Korea and Vietnam to prevent peaceful reunification under the Communist parties there. Vietnam would've democratically Ho Chi Minh in the South had USA not gone to war. They interfered in the 1948 Italian elections to prevent Communists coming to power, They had French elected Communists removed from power. They had an Australian PM removed for not wanting to be close to USA in foreign policy etc.)
But if a Socialist or Communist came to power democratically in USA they would face the same fate as JFK. And if there was a mass movement behind this President (ie. they can't just chop the head off the movement) they'd support fascists to murder you in your homes without a second thought as they did in Indonesia in 1965 when 500,000-5 million Communists, socialists and trade unionists were murdered
The more effective bourgeois rulers understood the dangers of a Trump presidency as they saw him as ruining USA imperial power. If Biden gets in this a tragedy for the world proletariat. Biden will feed the social-fascists in the USA crumbs off the table of an expanded imperialism. The worlds people will once again be seized by the throat - postponing proletarian revolution in the global south and at home. Biden has oft attacked Trump from the right - at not being a good enough bourgeois custodian of imperial empire.
Biden on Venezuela
Venezuelan people are worse off, living in one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. The country's no closer to a free election, and Trump's, Trump's incoherent approach is alienating international partners
Biden on Syria when Trump was withdrawing troops from Syria
Donald Trump, I believe — it’s not comfortable to say this about a president — but he is a complete failure as a commander in chief. He’s the most reckless and incompetent commander in chief we’ve ever had.
The events of this past week ... have had devastating clarity on just how dangerous he is to our national security, to our leadership around the world and to the lives of the brave women and men serving in uniform
Biden on Venezuela and Cuba
Trump is the worst possible standard-bearer for democracy in places like Cuba and Venezuela
We have to vote for a new Cuba policy. This administration's approach isn't working. Cuba is no closer to freedom and democracy today than it was four years ago. In fact, there are more political prisoners. The secret police are as brutal as ever, and Russia is once again a major presence in Havana. President Trump cannot advance democracy and human rights for the Cuban people, or the Venezuelan people for that matter, when he has embraced so many autocrats around the world, starting with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un in North Korea
On China
He has vowed to “fully enforce” the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act signed by Trump last year and meet with exiled Tibetan leader, the Dalai Lama, if elected. Biden has labeled China’s mass detention and re-education program for the Xinjiang region’s predominately Muslim Uighur minority as “genocide” and called for an international effort to make a united stand against the campaign. The Democratic nominee said he would convene a “Summit for Democracy” to reach new commitments to fight corruption and authoritarianism and advance human rights. That would include pressing technology companies to make pledges to “ensure their algorithms and platforms are not empowering the surveillance state, facilitating repression in China and elsewhere
On Belarus
Although President Trump refuses to speak out on their behalf, I continue to stand with the people of Belarus and support their democratic aspirations.
My origininal take on Trump was to reluctantly prefer him over Clinton since it was pretty clear she was a threat to multilaterialism etc. Trump might be a bastard, but I've never seen him laugh about anyone being sodomized with a saber, and he had an anti interventionist stance in general. His scaling up of the drone program was hard to bare, but there is no clear reason to think fewer people would have died under a Clinton presidency.
I feel like there is chaos under heaven and its really hard to predict what will come next, so I am just telling everyone I know to read theory and organize over and over and over every chance I get with mixed results (ok, not that mixed, mostly everyone just ignores me.)
To see Gadaffi die in such a way broke my heart and I knew Trump was the lesser evil to Clinton back in 2016 when I saw her cackling laughter at such a lynching
Here was a man that had fought his entire life for his country and funded and armed national liberation movements the world over.
Who raised his population to the highest living standards on the African continent whilst planning on using Libyan gold to fund a pan-African currency which would lift the poorest people on the planet into a formidable political block which would've ensured that Africans now "stood up"
And to see how the so-called Leftists responded to this NATO campaign was very disappointing.
This piece is a hilarious read to go back to if the actual events weren't so sad

I feel like there is chaos under heaven and its really hard to predict what will come next,
Yes comrade, with no organisation we can achieve nothing. It is important to organise now.
so I am just telling everyone I know to read theory and organize over and over and over every chance I get with mixed results (ok, not that mixed, mostly everyone just ignores me.)
I feel a lot of problems could be solved in the Left movement generally if they took seriously the study of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin. They were incredible thinkers the like the world has never seen before or since.
To gain a firmer grasp of anti-imperialism for instance it would be wonderful if more on the Left could take the time to study the two following works by Lenin
The Right of Nations to Self-Determination
Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism
Or Chapter 2 of this Stalin piece which details what a socialist country will likely go through when they're encircled by capitalist nations
They know we are not fascists, they hate us more than they hate fascists because they know deep down that we are correct.
Nearly 70 million people voted for Trump.
We're not that big. Progressives couldn't even take over the Democratic party in the same time span that the Tea Party radically took over the GOP and started shoving out the old neo-cons.
We still have a lot of work to do.
yeah, socdems/socialists are around 30-~40% of the dem party . lots of work to do
The Tea Party got a double win by shoving the neo-cons into the Democrat party.
It's been disconcerting (when is it not) watching all the takes from centrist-democrat-fash about corralling the left. If Jo Bi wins, the only real action we're about to see from Dems is to fucking quell the left. It feels good.

This place has such a ridicoulus victim complex if you guys think the average lib hates socialists more than fascists.
You are right. Liberals have a long history of not mass muredering leftists.
you guys think the average lib hates socialists more than fascists.
Yes. This statement is correct.
Liberalism is the moderate wing of fascism.
