It's anecdotal but pretty much all scientists (mostly physicists and mathematicians) I got to know closely loved (and occasionally quoted from) the Hitchhiker's Guide. But could just be self-selection of who you want to hang out with 🤷♂️

Most scientists I know don't read fiction. In my workplace, we're like 3/10 for people who read fiction.
