Honestly none of these liberals could approach even 1/10th the posting power of LiberalSocialist, they managed to start like 10 struggle sessions. The liberals we have now just unite the entire site in dunking.

I really appreciated LibSoc. They truly had the heart of the posting , even if they were absolutely cracked.

It was incredible to see a new post from 'em.

I think it's because libsoc, at least early on, had the vibe of a new leftist who didn't know anything but acted willing to take in new information, then their knowledge plateaued and their ability or interest to take in new information evaporated

I think that's how they were, but then they had a bad take, got dogpiled, doubled down and responded to the dogpile in a cringe and annoying way, got dogpiled even harder, and then they became more and more bitter an contrarian until they finally got banned. We could've handled it better, they could've too.

for real LS was the absolute best at inflicting psychic pain over the internet. Sometimes I hope they were a bit account so I could at least respect the achievement.

Just one reading of State and Revolution should be enough for anybody to distinguish between reformists/social democrats/opportunists on the one hand, who are not Marxists, and socialists on the other hand, who are Marxists.

pretty sure he still posts. I saw someone make a post "on behalf" of "someone else" and it was such a shitty lib take I have to assume Liberal Socialist sent him his post.

But creating the conditions and the organisations and the class consciousness necessary for that revolution, is easier under a social democratic government than any other.

what historical precedent would there be for this? edit they ADMIT that theres no evidence! are we suuure this wasn't a bit.

Idk, wouldn't most people who have the opinion that revolution chances have a negative correlation with material conditions be Lenin readers?

I don't think liberal socialist is a Lenin type of guy
