As a romani gypsy, I think my race/culture won’t exist in 2-3 generations. Coupled with assimilation and straight genocide, I don’t see “Romani people” as we know it existing in a few decades. Or at the very least, so few will practice the culture that it will be as if we do not exist. It worries me. I think we are very much an “endangered species” metaphor here for a race
I don't know much about your culture, but I feel all the peoples who've faced the brunt of colonialism, imperialism etc will be better suited to deal with climate change than its passive beneficiaries.
Perhaps. Most of the older of us know how to survive nomadic lifestyles and then a majority of us in Europe already don’t have running water, so I think we can handle having no luxuries of life that people in America for example would be used to. On the other hand, I really don’y know if we will be around much for when climate change gets worse... It’s really scary to me. Calling for romani genocide in europe is just another normal day there.
There are, but that can only do so much. In general, assimilation is a big issue for us since it’s
sometimes the only way we can get jobs. If you can pass as Indian or Latino or Turkish, you’ll want to say you’re that rather than saying you’re Gypsy. And that’s not including forced assimilated/genocide.

In the early stages, perhaps. Later on...most of those societies are pretty reliant on consistent seasons, which we will not have.
Aren't there Roma theatres and what not in Russia? I thought there were people trying to keep the culture alive.

I don’t know what the person said before deleting it, but I can only imagine it was incredibly racist lol
Yeah was a spin on their usual bullshit, "muh invasion of brown hordes" and so on etc.
They deleted their account as well so it was probably another troll.
