After the upswing in fascism in the early to mid 2010s, we are seeing the return of neoliberalism, starting in late 2010s till now. The leftist sentiment will be forced to sleep once again. And when facism next rises, it'll be in a much worse environment (economically, socially, and, you know, environmentally). The neolibs at that point would have managed to secure themselves and leave the rest of us at the mercy of the facists.
