So now the corporate democrats got their shitty centrist elected. The libs will go back to brunch and nothing will fundamentally change for the next four years.

However the material conditions that led to Trump is still there. Inequality is growing and the middle class existence that many Americans thought they were entitled too is becoming a more and more unrealistic dream for many.

On top of that a global pandemic has crashed the economy and the US model of privatised health care, minimal labour right and inadequate social safety net is proving to be a massive failure all while the ossified political establishment is unable and unwilling to pass necessary aid to people.

What will happen next politically in the US? I have a really bad feeling about this. People are going to feel angry, insecure and cheated out of what was rightfully theirs. I don't see the large confident movement of organised labour capable of improving material conditions emerging any time soon. I fear the political consequences of the decline of American society will rather be affiliated with the far right.

The Digitalization of capitalism continues in a bid to circumvent and destroy what remains of labor rights in the first world (there's a reason Biden wants the Quibi lady) just like neoliberalism was defined by the financialization of western economies so will Digitalism become defined by the tethering of all possible labor markets to privatized computer systems, which will simultaneously be reinforced by mass consolidation of the rest of cyberspace by the state and capitalist corporations
