Isn't it weird how we've collectively gone back in time 50 years to the Cold War? It's become more and more common to hear libs and conservative call each other commies, the Hammer and Sickle are being banned, and Capitalists talk about the Russian Federation like it's the actual Soviet Union.

also isn't it weird how communism is to blame for every problem in this society created by a hegemonic capitalist system?

Turns out class conflict is a real thing that emerges from material conditions and not just something the Soviets made up.

Wait, what!? You're telling me the USSR collapsed? This changes everything!

We know. If you're curious about hearing Marxist-Leninist analysis of it, Blackshirts and Reds has a whole chapter devoted to criticizing it and analyzing what went wrong. Despite the "tankie" stereotype, pretty much no communist thinks that the USSR was flawless, because if it was it'd still be around.

I'd argue we are going as far back as the 1920s, with the global economy on the verge of imploding, socialism becoming popular in western nations, and the increasing tolerance of fascism (even nazism) and anti-communism reaching dangerous levels.

One day very soon, something is going to wake people up to the reality that they've been so scared by Russia and China that they've opened the door for a new Nazi regime.

Given how much people been scared? They'll still say it's a lesser evil. They said that after WW2, when US was prancing around Europe, bringing back fascists to power. They said that after 1991. They are saying it right now about Ukraine and Baltics.

What a joke. The government consisting of neoliberals and nazis banning communist symbols, when the communist parties of Finland get like 0,1 % of the total vote every single election. Stalin should not have stopped at Tali-Ihantala.

Well their air force flags literally still have swastikas in them. But no, hammers and sickles are the problem! Nazi scum nation.

The whites really wanted to have a king, but weren't allowed (because the Germans lost WW1). So they still simp for their imaginary king.

I think it was more that the German noble they wanted to be king declined because he thought that having a German monarch after Germany just got owned in WW1 would probably not be the best way to start a new nation state. I think they even kicked around the idea of making some Finnish politician king instead

A certain intelligence community has been hard at work minimizing the contribution of the Soviets to ending WW2. It's gotten so bad, I expect the next WW2 era first person shooter won't be having a Russian campaign this time.

The next? Call of Duty: WWII already came out six years ago and only had an American campaign lol

It was honestly pretty hilarious how hard that one went into "America won WWII" territory when previous WWII ones were pretty good about showing how other countries made the bigger contributions (even with them still having biases and propaganda), most of them had a Russian campaign too

Nah they'll have one but it'll be about all of the destroyer battalions of the NKVD with you playing as Putin's father burning Ukrainian villages with zero context in regards to why it was done.

Then just make a new symbol, the sickle is not as representative today as it used to be when it was invented anyways, since agriculture is more industrialised now, at least in Finland.
