I think they have a partial point occasionally, similar to that one post on how a lot of working class people have accepted covid as inescapable a while ago and just go with the person that will stop the shutdown because nobody pushes for a shutdown with rent assistance and stimulus and paychecks, but they sound like someone pretending to be an anti-electoralist leninist, because they also just conflate a lot of "progressive" and left stuff that's of varying degrees of importance at times (like free college and rent being about the same importance to working class people when rent and eviction threat is mounting, thinking "middle american" as a thing that leftists care about) and sometimes they just start getting epic with the covid explanation in terms of the actual effects of the disease on people.
Also, "Dems were never expected to gain House seats, and seats always change hands during an election." is straight up they're a neolib trying to downplay the Dem leadership doing horrendous.
You do realize pretty much all of us only engage with electoralism as a sport, right? Like we know it doesn't do anything but it's entertaining. We already "leave them be". Posting about elections doesn't mean we are particularly invested in electoralism. And even including the 10 people here who still believe in electoralism, we all want the Democratic party to end one way or another. You're the one simping for them by saying wrong stuff that just so happens to make Dems seem competent and popular.
