Thinking about my beloved grandma who joined the universe a few years ago, all the memories and love we shared, the absence I still feel today. Thinking about that feeling times 250,000+. Thinking about the how many people died without healthcare even before the plague, for no reason. Thinking about normality. Thinking about insanity. Thinking about the view from the front bay windows of a beach house in the Hamptons. Thinking about the man I saw eating from the trash today, a block away from the grocery store.

I feel you. My best friend is currently in the hospital with COVID, and I've lost 3 other friends from it.

I thought that with how bad this pandemic was, that maybe it would open the conversation to universal healthcare. Instead, it's become an argument of personal responsibility and that's what it's going to be once Biden is in office and the pandemic becomes his problem. They'll find a new way to dehumanize the victims by saying it was their own fault some how.
