Don't forget about New Year's Eve. There's likely to be quite a few ill-advised parties that night, especially since major NYE events will be cancelled (think how many people would have gone to Times Square for the ball drop but can't because of covid).

Yup. Helping solve climate change was my main motivator for selecting my major. Turns out, all it did was cause me existential dread and radicalize me.

Thinking about my beloved grandma who joined the universe a few years ago, all the memories and love we shared, the absence I still feel today. Thinking about that feeling times 250,000+. Thinking about the how many people died without healthcare even before the plague, for no reason. Thinking about normality. Thinking about insanity. Thinking about the view from the front bay windows of a beach house in the Hamptons. Thinking about the man I saw eating from the trash today, a block away from the grocery store.

I feel you. My best friend is currently in the hospital with COVID, and I've lost 3 other friends from it.

I thought that with how bad this pandemic was, that maybe it would open the conversation to universal healthcare. Instead, it's become an argument of personal responsibility and that's what it's going to be once Biden is in office and the pandemic becomes his problem. They'll find a new way to dehumanize the victims by saying it was their own fault some how.

Somewhere out there a focus group is trying to figure out how to market to people who are covid positive.

Somewhere, a Silicon Valley techbro is trying to grift investor money for a casual hookup app for people who are COVID-positive. Said techbro will get more money for this project than any of us will see for economic stimulus payments.

This isn't really fair becuase the US is the only one trying to get a high score, I'm sure other countries can set the world record too if they really put their mind to it

The US is somehow going to get re-infected with covid after every other country eradicates it.

The fucking Dakotas are going to breed new mutations that are more adapted to cold temperatures, and then we're going to end up re-infecting all of Canada.

Who could have guessed that this would happen after so many people waited in lines to vote in person?!?!
