      Also, while I get the poetic nature of the title, super sus that it’s just the rich men north of Richmond he’s singing against. The rich men south of Richmond are just as much the problem.

        Because he's only talking about politicians, not the capitalists. Washington DC is north of Richmond. He seems to have a Joe Rogan level understanding of politics

          Which is, unfortunately, extremely resonant with a lot of the internet. Everyone fills in the blanks with their own perceived bourgeoisie and everyone gets an anthem, but the actual culprits are never mentioned
