In my journey leftwards I was at first shocked to find, and then less and less surprised each time, that nearly every single one of things the American education system and cultural climate put forward as a crime of socialism was either a massive exaggeration or an outright lie. Holodmor, Great Leap Forward, the many crimes and genocides of Stalin, Tiananmen Square, all the wild shit Radio Free Asia has to say about the Cultural Revolution, etc and so on.
But basically no one denies the crimes of the Khmer Rouge. Because that shit is provable. So provable that the Vietnamese stopped it.
