          also he said stuff very simply that resonated with people. a lot of people get too dense.

            I think a large part of Sanders' ability to reach people came from him looking like a "real politician", an old white guy in a suit with a D next to his name. He looked too nice and too familiar for the "pierced bomb-throwing anarchist" bogeyman to apply to him.
