I worked up until early August making less than half of what my girlfriend made while on unemployment, then I got covid. Got serious breathing issues still because of it AND couldn't get any unemployment because it was considered a voluntary leave. Also, because I got covid way before testing was available, I couldn't even get the covid pay from my employer. We could have just made all the grocery orders pick up, or required masks, or took serious precautions for social distancing. But nah. I still regularly contemplate going in there and just breaking as much shit as I can.

I don't even really think its the elites caring about the increased profits. It's just how much better it makes them than everyone else. They get to keep living normal lives cause they're exempt from rules, staying at home doesn't suck cause they live in mansions, and they get world class healthcare so they're pretty safe from the disease. It gives them another thing that makes them above the peasants and they love that shit.

I honestly don’t understand how we haven’t hit the point of mass unrest.

I liked the first season. Turned my brain off watching it, so it's probably copaganda or something, but I also liked it. Which is why I didn't start a revolution during it

yeah, all these contradictory policies are really just making people react to a percieved nanny state more negatively and doing way more harm than good.

Schools open every other day, but only for highschools, bars open til 10pm, gym are closed for groups, you can go to grocery stores, but you cant meet a second house hold, you can travel but also please stay home. What do you mean contradictory?

My friend lives in Toronto and said public outside parks are now closed but outside dining is allowed. The one that requires you to take your mask off in close proximity to someone else is the one that’s allowed.

The county i live in slipped back to purple. But the school district my gf works for wants to reopen (mixed, but white suburbanites want it reopened).
