I think maybe someone did? He might've had a beard, not 100% sure

No disrespect to Charles Bukowski, but much disrespect to the reddit thread I took this image from: https://www.reddit.com/r/meirl/comments/jx8vf9/me_irl/

Honestly don't know much about Bukowski, fair enough, I will now disrepect Bukowski the appropriate amount

He wrote decently, and there was an inkling of potential class consciousness in some of it, but was generally human waste.

I don't recommend him generally but if you can seperate his bullshit and ego from the rest there's some good to find.

Like he's an "important" author, I think, but he was in no ways a good person lol

The following Bukowski had from women (they literally queued outside of his house after travelling thousands of Miles to meet him) will always be a mystery to me.

His female following was based entirely on "women" though and that's not all that good at smut. It's depressing, nihilistic self pity interspersed with angry screeds against all women.

I mean it's a book entirely about his female conquests and how much they love him and how everyone, including at least one man, wants to fuck him lol

            It's also kinda smutty

It's been like a decade since I read it but I guess the smut just didn't make much of an impact on me (because I'm a fucking nerd) because the smut I do remember was not particularly erotic but more intended to be the opposite in its brutal honesty. I just remember it being generally self pitying, nihilistic and misogynistic.
