Tons of people buy things but don't actually know how they work, they just kinda expect it to. Millions of people panic bought guns because of the election and I'm willing to bet they aren't the most knowledgeable people in regards to firearms.

Dang, if that many people own guns with no clue about how to use them, then it sounds like we should have stricter restrictions so they don't hurt themselves or others.
Should we? Probably. Will we? Probably not? Can we? Also probably not. Unless you're going to make it illegal to buy tools I really don't see how you could really do anything about the gun problems in the united states other than fixing the problems inherent to capitalism.
