The mink mutation already happened in the Netherlands around July if my memory is any good. The fact that the very same occurrence of events repeated in another country and led to an outbreak of a mutation that could have potentially made vaccines ineffective or worse (we're extremely lucky that didn't happen) is just unbelievable. My country on the other side of the world has 2 confirmed cases of the mink mutation.
