This reminds me of the time a person I'd just met dropped various racial slurs in a group chat and acted all surprised when they lost their girlfriend and no one wanted to ever see their face again. They then decided to double down and do the "this is who I am" defence. Ended up in a massive fistfight the next day. Never saw them since.
